FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, sometimes with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffees. Colombian coffee beans have the most identifiable coffee taste in North America, being sweet and medium-bodied.

It is possible to make strong Colombian coffee compared to non-Colombian coffee. The strength of the coffee can be altered by the processing, roasting and brewing process. Therefore, Colombian coffee is only strong if it is prepared to be stronger.  Higher proportions of lower quality beans produce a bitter brew, yet Colombian coffee keeps its taste integrity even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian coffee beans make a drink that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica beans, & the country’s particular topography makes it ideal for making a tastey, high-quality brew. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which comes from each cup. This could explain why they have been exporting coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their highest export for the majority of that period.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude ratings are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans farmed at the greatest altitude. These beans are called strictly hard beans”.

In a small saucepan, bring water & panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is made with sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is marketed in blocks or grated & the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 min, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, put the ground beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the top of the French press.

allow it to stand for four minutes, stirring only once. Plunge the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally flavourful. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, especially due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with outstanding quality at higher elevations. They are then naturally prepared on small farms by hand. The high altitude produces a better tasting coffee bean. Because of its favourable meteorological attributes, Colombian coffee beans are a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly more than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety & amount of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per each espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most renound and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the moisture amount gets to around 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays far less time in the sunshine. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater water amount, sometimes as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is known as the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the regional area of Colombia. It is renound for culturing the most of Colombian coffee.
