FAQs

Colombian Coffee has a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee beans. They have the most distinct coffee taste in North America, that of sweet and medium bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee in comparison to non-Colombian coffee. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting & brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is only strong if it is prepared to be strong.  Increased proportions of low quality beans make a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its flavour integrity even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian beans provide a drink that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica coffee beans, & the country’s particular topography makes it perfect for making a delicious, top quality beverage. The coffee is known worldwide for its flavour and the distinct mild but rich aroma that rises from each cup. This could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for ~200 years, & it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that period.

Many people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Elevation ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans cultivated at the greatest elevation. These beans are referred to as “strictly high grown”.

In a small pot, bring water and panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the flavour is like that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 min, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a small French press, put the ground beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 minutes, stirring only once. Push down the French press and pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This due to the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally delicious. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually because of its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with outstanding quality at high altitudes. They are then prepared natually on little farms by hand. The higher elevation produces a nicer flavoured coffee bean. Because of its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee varieties. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit more than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and amount of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 milligrams per single espresso serving & up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most well-known & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust and balanced flavours than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun for a few days or until the water content gets to around 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays far less time in the sunshine. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater water content, at times as high as twenty percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is famous for culturing the largest amount of Colombian coffee. There are four departments (that are the equivalent of States & Territories in Australia) in the area which are: Caldas, Quindío, Risaralda & Tolima.

Our main delivery areas are major cities. However, we can also deliver to regional areas. You can get your products where ever Australia post deliver to.
