FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, sometimes with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee. They have the most identifiable coffee taste in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee compared to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee can be altered by the processing, roasting & brewing process. Thus, Colombian coffee is just stronger if it is made to be stronger.  Increased proportions of low quality beans produce a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its taste profile even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

These coffee beans provide a flavour that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best anywhere. Colombia has a long history of cultivating Arabica beans, and their specific topography makes it perfect for making a delicious, high-quality drink. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour and the distinct mild but rich aroma that comes from each brew. That could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for ~200 years, & it’s been their highest export for most of that period.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans grown at the greatest altitude. These beans are named “strictly firm beans”.

In a little pot, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is produced with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated & the taste is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low & simmer for 30 min, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 minutes, stirring only once. Push down the French press and pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This due to the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as delicious. While keeping the bean’s flavour, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions and processes make it considered to be the best by many people, especially because of its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with excellent quality at higher elevations. They are then processed natually on little farms by hand. The high altitude makes for a nicer flavoured coffee bean. Because of its favourable climatic characteristics, Colombian coffee beans are a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and amount of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 milligrams per each espresso serving & up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust and balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun over a few days or until the moisture content gets to about 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends far less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot higher water content, sometimes as much as 20 percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is famous for growing the most of Colombian coffee.
