FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffees. Colombian coffee beans have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee compared to non-Colombian coffee types. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is only strong if it is prepared to be stronger.  Increased percentage of low quality beans produce a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee maintains its taste integrity even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

These beans provide a flavour that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best on the globe. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica beans, & their particular topography makes it ideal for producing a tastey, high quality drink. The coffee is renowned accross the globe for its taste and the destinctive mild but rich aroma which rises from each cup. This could explain why they have been exporting coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that time.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans produced at the greatest altitude. These beans are called “strictly firm beans”.

In a little pot, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated & the flavour is like that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a small French press, put the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the brim of the French press.

Brew for 4 min, stirring once during the time. Plunge the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee is best as a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral taste, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as tasty. While keeping the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s farming conditions & processes make it considered to be the best by a lot of people, particually because of its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with outstanding quality at high altitudes. They are then naturally prepared on little farms by hand. The high elevation makes for a nicer flavoured bean. Due to its favourable climatic conditions, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty taste.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit more than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small and may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety & amount of roasting, high quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced flavours than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very good coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun over a few days or until the moisture content reaches around 10 percent. This helps in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially higher water amount, at times as high as 20 percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is known as the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for growing the largest amount of Colombian coffee.
