FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian beans. They have the most identifiable coffee taste in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to make strong Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting & brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is just stronger if it is made to be strong.  Increased percentage of lower quality beans make a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee maintains its flavour integrity even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian beans provide a taste that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica beans, & their specific topography makes it perfect for making a delicious, top quality drink. The coffee is known worldwide for its taste & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which comes from each brew. This could explain why they have been growing coffee for ~200 years, and it’s been their leading export for most of that period.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Elevation classes are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans produced at the greatest elevation. These beans are named “strictly high grown”.

In a small pot, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made with sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavour is like that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a small French press, put the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for four minutes, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press & pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee is best as a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral taste, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally tasty. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, particually because of its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with excellent quality at higher elevations. They are then processed natually on small farms by hand. The higher altitude makes for a better flavoured coffee bean. Because of its favourable climatic characteristics, Colombia coffee beans are a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee varieties. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is slightly greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per single espresso serving & up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most well-known & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite good coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun for a few days or until the water amount reaches about ten percent. This helps in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially greater moisture amount, sometimes as much as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for growing the largest amount of Colombian coffee.
